Nettie's New Clothes

Netbook Cover v 2.0

I've been busy. I sewed a little case for Nettie the Netbook (now I have my own so I don't have to steal Ned from Martijn all the time). This is actually the second case I made. The first was a simple sleeve, but I decided to get all fancy with this one. It's lined with fleece so it's nice and soft inside. I did have to change the button since I took this photo since the one on there was a little too tall and was a pain in the rear to button and unbutton. Now it's a green button with a little yellow one on top to give it some ZING!

Glad you were able to get the button fixed so its not that much of a pain.

Does it have a handle so you can easily carry Nettie around with you?

Wow! My word that case is amazing! You have done really well in making that mub. May I ask how long did it take you to complete?

Keetha- No handle, it's more of a "keep off scratches and dust in the house" case, but we're working on figuring out a carrying case next!

Breigh- It's a 8.9" Acer Aspire One. I loooove it!

greatuniversal- Since it was a "prototype" so to say, it took about 2.5 hours. I was doing a lot of measuring and fiddling with it. The next one I make won't take nearly so long since I've figured out the best way to do it =)

Sorry. Couldn't resist...

Cute case! Part of me suspects it's all zing so you can find it quickly. Or is that just me...

It's a lovely case. However the fleece could cause static sparks and may damage the laptop. Other than that, I'm green with envy of your skill with sewing.

Very nice man case. You should make manly reusable grocery bags! Several male checkers have told me they don't want to be seen carrying "femine" reusable grocery bags.

Oops, posted about man case under nettie's case, which is definitely not manly! I think I had clothes made of some of those fabrics...in the '60's! ;-)
