SarahC from Everyday Elegance has invited me to participate in her "My Favorite Things Monday" hosted on her blog! The idea is to post a current "favorite thing" that cheers you up when you're feeling bad.
I did quite a bit of thinking on this and decided sock monkeys fit the bill. I mean, how can you be annoyed or down when you're looking at a sock monkey? Even when you're trying to stitch on their limbs and they're flopping all over, you can't really help but smile.

to answer your question about the heat - i haven't found that, i'm a pretty cold sleeper - i need tons of blankets even in the summer, but my hubby is a hot sleeper, and hasn't complained of being too warm.
I love sock monkeys. A lady I knew since I was a kid, gave both my girls one. When they were little. I would love to see a post on how to make them. I have grandkids now and they would make special gifts for them. Thanks for telling me about old chickens. I had no Ideal the egg would be hard to separate.
Have a great day.

I love your sock monkeys!! Dina sent me over to your blog to check them out. I wish I could make them. I have no talent in making stuff! My son has several of them, and a new glass sock monkey ornament this year, and sock monkey christmas pj's. Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say hi and look at your creations. They are great!!!
