Exceptionally Evil Elevator (of DOOM)

For starters, I need to come clean about Martijn's Deadly Man Flu. I may have Exaggerated a little bit. He really did have deadly man flu, but he was only being dramatic because when he was sick the time before I was teasing him about not treating illness like a "typical man."

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we're onto E.

When I asked Martijn what he thought I should write about for E, he started spewing out a rather strange list.
  • Eggheads
  • Eggplant-recipes
  • Edible stuff
  • Electric Locomotives
  • Elevators
  • Elusive mythical beast
  • Engelbert Humperdink
  • Epistle of James
Epistle of James? Really? It's not even REALLY an E! The list wasn't completely useless though. I decided to share with you my Exceptionally Evil Elevator (of DOOM)!

I also rather like the warning sticker.

Elevator Warning Sign

It says "WATCH OUT! Scary elevator of doom doesn't have safety doors that would enclose the entire elevator instead of only just three sides."*

Still, I'd rather take the scary elevator than mountain climb up 9 flights of steep narrow Dutch stairs 4 times a day.

*Not a direct translation, but that's really what it means.

  2. OMG, I've never seen anything like that LOL. It would freak me out but I guess I would go on it too to avoid all those stairs.

Thanks for leaving me a comment and yes I think seeing egg cups and coddlers over there is cultural. Wish I could visit and shop with you!

  7. I loved your husbands suggestions! Eggplant Parmesan is one of my favorite foods! And good ol' Engelbert H. composed the music for Hansel and Gretel which I LOVE!! (Not to confused with that other guy who stole his name and sang pop music during the 60 and 70's.)

  8. Great post! This definitely qualifies as an exceptionally evil elevator. I don't care for them at the best of times, but this one would scare the heck out of me. I got a bit of vertigo just watching the video! Kathy

  10. Great post....that elevator is super creapy!!! Thanks for visitng my post, the cat parinting is layers of acrylic with some 3-d embellishments. It's in a small hallway and I love the way it "changes colors" due to the amount of light.

  15. I hate elevators! I was stuck in one once and it was very traumatic but I also don't care for Dutch stairs! I suppose I would have to live on a bottom floor.

  16. All the Polish block of flats lifts were like this (only the windows were bigger and rectangular). They're replacing them all now with really flimsy feeling modern ones. I was always scared of them when I was little and visiting my grandparents, but I miss them now.
